TESCO & Ultraman Tiga...

We went to TESCO in the evening to buy diapers; it is usually cheaper here as compared to the others (DRYPERS). We bought iced soya for Arief upon arriving at TESCO but we accidentally drop it while on the escalator. Today the price for DRYPERS is not the usual RM31++; it is around RM38. I did bought chunk of beef in BBQ sauce for half the price though (expiring on 2nd February) and this will be our dinner. BTW on weekends there is a lot of free tasting counters there; ranging from Prego to Yakult to Nesvita. We tried them all. And we also bought Ultraman Tiga DVD for Arief; Volume 3 and it is much cheaper over here :-)

Arief's bedroom & 1st Floor Family Area...

Arief now has his own room (70% complete) with the new IKEA mattress. It is a single bed but I doubt that Arief will sleep there for now; he sleeps with us. But we will encourage him to utilize his room for his evening naps or for playing with his toys. We also make changes to our 1st Floor Family Area; adding the new TV Bench, Computer table, two seat sofa and an LCD TV. Previously we only have my sofa recliner and 29" TV; the sofa is in our master bedroom and the 29" TV is downstairs at the living room :-)

IKEA & Courts...

We went out early from Shah Alam, and we went to Burger KIng for breakfast but it was still closed (open at 9.30am). We went to McD NKVE instead. Arief at Hash Brown while Eliza at pancakes. I ordered Sausage McMuffin with coffee. We stopped at PLUS Toll Damansara to re-load my TnGO; we changed to the latest PlusMiles Card with 5% rebate for every RM200 usage. We arrived at IKEA by 9.30am and they were having a lion dance performance at the entrance. Arief was afraid of the loud drumming sound and we immediately went in to do our shopping. BTW IKEA was still full eventhough it was CNY Holiday; we saw many chinese came in their traditional clothes. We bought a TV Bench, two-seat sofa, single bed mattress and computer table. We wanted to re-do our TV area upstairs. We finish shopping by noon and we went for our lunch at IKEA. I bought teriyaki spring chicken with fries, meatballs, daim cake and chicken wings. It was crowded and it took us some time to finish our lunch as we need to take turns to watch Arief as he was playing and eating at the same time. There is this one "makcik" who kept on giving us the "evil eye" for us to finish our lunch as she wanted our seat. BTW "makcik" if you want to have lunch IKEA, please do come early so that you don't have to disturb other patrons enjoying their lunch. We went to the nearby Courts for LCD TV and we bought 32" Panasonic Vieira :-)

Aiman Birthday...

We went to my sister house to celebrate Aiman 19th Birthday; we bought Dominos Pizza (Hawaiian Chicken and Veggie Galore). We gave Aiman his first beach CROCS; purple in colour. It was on 50% sale by Pinang Medical Supplies. Arief ate sup nasi ayam with Ilyas and as usual they will play and quarrel with each other. They did though watch Ultraman DVD; the one that we bought recently where a group of Ultraman dance :-)

 

Giant & Ultraman...

We went for our groceries shopping at GIANT Shah Alam Mall and as with every trip; Arief will drink his vitagen inside GIANT. Usually we will play Daytona with Arief but the arcade had closed down (as per my earlier blogs). We bought him his monthly Ultraman DVD or CD; and as usual Arief will choose on his own. I did managed to convince him to buy Ultraman Max and Arief choose Ultraman the movie. We went to Reject Shop instead to buy Arief new t-shirts (4 in total and he chooses one himself; Thomas motive). BTW the CD that Arief choose shows Ultraman dancing :-)

Arief at DEMC Part 3...

Arief will be discharged from DEMC today with a clean bill of health. He still need to finish his antibiotics before his next follow-up check up next Friday. The check-out is fast; very impressive. This is thing that I like about DEMC; their support staff is excellent and professional. Eliza can't wait to come home as she has been staying in DEMC since Tuesday :-)

Arief at Demc Part 2...

We will be going to Sunway Medical Center for Arief CT Scan today; just as a precaution. We went there with DEMC Estima and the accompanying staff gave Arief his medicine once we arrived for him to go to sleep. But Arief couldn't fall asleep as he was hungry (he need to fast for about 2 hours before the CT Scan). He continue crying until 5pm and we had to rescheduled to tomorrow. BTW Arief went to sleep during the journey back to DEMC.

The doctor gave Arief his medicine at DEMC before we went to Sunway Medical Center. Our appointment is at 10.30am and Arief was already asleep while waiting for the car. Upon arrival at Sunway Medical Center, Arief woke up as it was quite noisy. It took close to one hour for Arief to fall asleep again.Then the staff immediately prepared Arief for his CT Scan and it only took about 10 minutes. Eliza went it with Arief into the room while I waited outside. We went back to DEMC and Arief was sleeping soundly. I went out for my meeting at Mid Valley and on my way back to DEMC, Eliza called and informed that Arief lungs is clear based on the CT Scan and he needs to stay for another two days to finish his antiobiotics.

Arief at DEMC Part 1...

We were at my sister house when Arief started to have high temperature; we immediately give him his medicine and he continue playing with Ilyas. He was still recovering from sore throat previously. We took him to the clinic on Monday morning and the doctor prescribe the usual medicine for him. Arief is feeling a bit better and he even ate "ayam kampung" with us for lunch. Later that night at around 1am, Arief was shivering non-stop and we took him to DEMC. His temperature went up alarmingly and we had to bath him with cold water to cool him down. The doctor advise us to bring him in tomorrow morning for blood test. We went back to DEMC at around 10am for his blood test and the result; his white blood cell is higher than normal. The doctor requested for Arief to do a X-Ray to check his lungs and then we saw a "white flam" blocking his left lung. The doctor advice us to admit Arief for further observations.

We went back home to pack while waiting for DEMC to call when the room is available. We went back to DEMC by 4pm and Arief is placed at Nilam Level 3. The nurses needed to put an insertion into his left hand for antiobiotic; Arief was crying his heart out during the procedures. I request for an extra bed to spend the night there with Eliza & Arief. The room is quite spacious with ASTRO; and we brought along our portable DVD for Arief to watch his favorite cartoons and movies. It was quite taxing for Arief as he need to take his fever medicine every 4 hours as well as the antiobiotics. Plus he is required to breath via the nebulizer every 4 hours. Even with all the medication, Alhamdulilah Arief still have his appetite and he continue eating as normal :-)

IKEA...

We went to IKEA with my mom and my sister, Aiman, Ilyas & Irfan to celebrate the new year. This is the first time that we went out with Irfan for lunch. We arrived at my sister house by 10am as promised and we drove to IKEA by 10.30am. We managed to find parking beside each other at P2 (my favourite spot). It took us awhile to unload three strollers from the cars. We walked straight to IKEA for lunch and the queue is already long. I ordered two vegetarian rice with ayam masak pandan, 5 pieces chicken wings, 10 swedish meatballs, salmon, spicy chicken with fries, daim cake and chocolito. I did try the pear cider as mentioned by Haza in his facebook. BTW Eliza had to go to the Brands Outlet to buy "Thomas & Friends" water bottle for Arief as he saw the kid beside us having a sip with the same bottle; Arief choose the RM19.90 for him and Ilyas (bigger than the one he saw). We had a wonderful family lunch where we manage to finish everything. After lunch, we did some light window shopping at Brands Outlet (again) where we bought t-shirts for Arief, Ilyas and Irfan. Aiman also bought three t-shirts for him. Arief, Ilyas and Irfan was happily sitting in their strollers while playing with the free balloons. Both of them are tired and by the time we went to have teh tarik and laksa at LG; Arief was already sleeping but Ilyas was barely awake. So I took Ilyas for a short stroll around LG and a few minutes after that he fell asleep. We went home by 3.30pm and it was indeed an enjoyable family outing :-)
