The Journey of a Distort Soul....

Geng at GSC Alamanda...

I booked the tickets online on Friday morning (00.01) and I bought 9 tickets; 6 adults and 3 children. I took the best seating; Aisle A. We arrived at Alamanda by 9.45am and we went straight to the food court for breakfast; I bought a combination of mee, bihun & kuehteow goreng while Arief choose egg sandwich at the beverage stall. I went down to GSC to get our tickets and the queue is quite long as somebody is arguing with the ticketing personnel. It seems that she booked the show for 10.30am and came late for the tickets; well obviously she is a first-time user as you need to be at least half an hour early to pick-up your tickets even if you have already booked online. We did window shopped while waiting for Elina and Neng to arrive. We bought books & Mothercare t-shirt for Arief :-)

Elina arrived shortly with her family; with one minor funny incidents. Arief was happily playing with his cousins all around Alamanda. We went to the cinema as Neng is already there and it was very crowded with cinema goers wanting to get the autograph and free posters from GENG. Upin & Ipin did make an appearance and I piggy-back Arief for a better view. We bought the usual popcorns & soft drinks and we went up to Hall 2. Arief was anxious for the movie to start; and he stay awake watching till the end while eating popcorns and sipping coke. We are so proud of him as this is his first time watching in a cinema. BTW one of the scene in the movie reminded us of what had happen to Elina and Eliza couldn't stop laughing until her tears came out. We opted to go out using the lift as we have strollers. While waiting for the others to finish their toilet breaks, the team from GENG including Upin & Ipin went up the escalator and briefly we had our 5 minutes with them without the crowds. Well Arief did cried when I wanted to take his pictures with Upin & Ipin :-)

Marco's Pizza Bangsar Village...

We went to Marco's Pizza for our lunch at Bangsar Village. It is easier for me to go for Friday prayers as the mosque is just nearby. We ordered  Beef Lasagne with Loretto (lamb) Pizza. For drinks we ordered Peach Ice Blended and Oreos Milk Shake. The service is fast and we received our Lasagne within 10 minutes; and it is delicious. The Loretta is nice too apart from the lamb smell. Eliza surf via the many free wifi available when I went for Friday prayers. We didn't finish the pizza though; it will be for our dinner tonite :-)

Steamboat at Seri Malaysia Taiping...

We went for steamboat dinner at Hotel Seri Malaysia Taiping, I had reservation due to my bad experience there twice (slow service and disappointing serving). We ordered two sets of Steamboat while I ordered bihun hailam (just in case) and I was right. The service is slow and it took them half an hour to finally served our steamboat which is not rocket science. My hailam arrives early though; earlier than my teh dangdut :-)

Fiza's Wedding Part 3...

I woke up early as I wanted to have roti canai & teh tarik for breakfast at Bismillah Restoran and I met with my junior there (Edwardians & part of the hockey team). We catch up on all times and I promised to attend his wedding in Shah Alam this coming June 2009. Arief & Eliza was still sleeping from the ordeal yesterday and I went back to sleep at 8am. We gathered at Mak Lang house around noon and we drove to the groom house at Kamunting by 1pm. We parked and walked to the "rumah pengantin", lucky for us the weather is fine. We went straight to the buffet table for lunch. They gave jelly as the dessert and Arief enjoy eating it as he didn't ate rice for lunch. We went back at around 2.30pm and had cendol at Ansari's before heading home :-)

Fiza's Wedding Part 2 & Anis Birthday Celebration...

We arrived at Mak Lang house for the "pembukaan hadiah" a bit late; 9pm as we had to stopped at Sri Kota as Arief pooped. They served BBQ chicken, ikan bakar & daging rendang with nasi goreng kampung. We also ate "ayam masak merah" from the "santapan pengantin"; again. Fiza's and her husband open our gifts first; everybody seems to like it as it is different from the normal tea sets and photo frame. They did received two microwave oven. They finished everything by 10,30pm and we went to Sri Kota to celebrate Anis birthday. They were still on their way from Banting and should be arriving at around 11pm. My in-laws bought cakes; and Anis, Haziq and Arief jointly blow the candle together. Arief was still awake eventhough he didn't sleep at all in the evening :-)

Fiza's Wedding Part 1...

We went back to Taiping for Fiza's wedding in Kampung Jambu. We wanted to start our journey earlier but Eliza was in Melaka since Thursday and she came back home late on Friday due to her work commitments. We bought our breakfast at McD Seksyen 3 and we entered the NKVE by 10am. Arief was sleeping until we reached Kuala Kangsar and we arrived at Pokok Assam by 12.30pm. We refreshed ourselves before going to Fiza's wedding; arrived there by 2pm with Eliza's parents. Fiza and her husband was already having their "santapan" and we went straight to the buffet spread. My sister was there managing the "bunga telur" and my mom brought us "udang masak sambal" from the "meja santapan". The food was delicious and I particularly like the kurma daging. BTW Arief and Ilyas was playing together by running all around the "khemah pengantin" and we take turns with Abg D to watch over them. I even managed to take a bite from the "ayam masak merah" for "santapan pengantin" :-)

Arief at Hidayah Restoran...

We went for dinner as Eliza is still in the office. BTW Eliza went for a two day business brainstorming at Melaka since Thursday. Arief ate Milo Ice-Cream first before sharing "Sup Campur" with me for dinner and drank iced tea :-)

Otak2, OU, Marche & Romantika...

We went out on our "dating" to One Utama after sending Arief to Little Caliphs. We arrived at OU by 9.30am; GSC was not opened yet so we went for our breakfast at Otak2 (new restaurant located at the new wing LG floor, infront of BBQ Chicken). We ordered cucur otak2, kaya butter toast, hot cham and teh tarik. We really like the cucur otak2; the sambal is excellent. BTW they also sell Deng-Dang there. We went to GSC to pick-up our Ink Heart tickets; show is at 11.30am and we bought popcorns with a free desktop calendar. The movie is indeed excellent and I do hope they continue with it's trilogy. From OU we went to IKANO for lunch; at Marche. The crowd is minimal and we manage to order our foods without fuss. We ordered Lamb Chop, Saute Mushroom, Fried Vegetables and Chicken Pasta. The lamb chop is sweet and the BBQ sauce is delicious. We enjoyed eating the fried vegetables; even ordered another servings but the Saute Mushroom and Chicken Pasta was a bit let-down. We ordered Bundaberg Root Beer, Ice Leamonade and Teh Tarik to quench our thirst. We did window shopped briefly around IKANO after lunch before we drove back to Shah Alam and went to Romantika at Alam Sentral to buy wedding gifts for Fiza and "Thank-You" stickers for Ijam wedding :-)
