We went to celebrate my birthday at Famous Thai for dinner where we ordered vegetable soup for Arief we shared fried rice with kerabu mango. BTW I wore the new watches given by Eliza as my birthday present as well as my new Canterbury Six Nations Polo T-Shirt and Oakland Raiders full cap (few of the many gifts that I bought from the many RM received) :-)
It was a normal day at the office fill with the usual meetings and discussion. After coming back from lunch, it was a major surprise to see birthday balloons and cakes on my desk. It was a gift from my lovely and ever charming wife; Eliza. Thank you my dear for a very wonderful surprise :-)
My sister organize a small BBQ; to celebrate Abg D birthday as well as mine. We arrived there by 3pm and they had already started with the BBQ. We were hungry as we didn't ate lunch yet. It is a mixture of seafood, chicken and beef. We really enjoy eating the beef as it is so tender. Arief spend time playing with Ilyas & Ibrahim (Abg D grandson) and Arief wore the same t-shirt as Ilyas. Arief even played football with Ilyas at the compound :-)
This is the first time that we do a "Studio Photography"; the studio is located at USJ. Our appointment is at 1pm and we arrived there as per schedule; we even managed to catch a glimpse of the new Exora that was parked in-front of Proton CEO house which was just nearby. Arief was sleeping inside the car but woke-up upon arriving. Actually we don't have any idea on how the session would be; I guess it would be more candid. We brought along Arief toy cars and he began playing with it while we begin our session; btw all of us wore white shirts with blue jeans. Our session last for about an hour with many interesting poses. I did changed to an Arsenal away jersey with Arief during the session. We are very impress with the results and we highly recommend their service; Pretty Peektures :-)
We had our morning buffet breakfast at B's which is located at our wing. We went there at around 9am; they were about to replenish the buffet spread. The cafe ambiance is very modern but it is not that kid friendly as Arief trip over the raised glass platform. The menu is quite acceptable. We take turns to look after Arief as he wanted to walk around the Hotel. I walked down with Arief to the jetty and indeed the hotel is very beautiful. Eliza took Arief to the kids play room while I continue eating and it was impressive as well. We check-out around noon and we are very satisfied with our weekend stay at Pullman Putrajaya :-)
We went to Bagan Lalang for an early dinner to celebrate Haziq and my birthday. I had made reservations in advance; so we didn't have to rush there. We meet up at KLIA Mosque at around 5.15pm; we drove from Pullman Putrajaya. From there it is just about half an hour drive to Bagan Lalang. We were suprised upon reaching Bagan Lalang as it was the high tide season. We went here last year and it was low tide. We drove straight to HM Seri Bagan and took our seats while I went to check the seafood spread with Abah. We ordered Sup Ketam, Pepahat Masak Bercili, Lala Masak Halia, Kerang Rebus, Ikan Kerapu Masam Manis, Sotong Goreng Tepung, Ikan Jenahak Masak Pedas dan Ikan Pari Bakar. At first it does look like we ordered quite a lot but we manage to finish everything at the end and the bill is about RM250 for 8 adults. BTW we even had a birthday cake brought from Banting to celebrate the birthday boys :-)
I came across their offer during my CSI Workshop at Putrajaya; RM199 until 30th April 2009. I try to book via online but it was quite expensive; not the rate that they are promoting. As a last ditch effort, I email their customer service and true enough they replied stating that the offer is still valid and have rooms available on 25th April. Without any hesitation I request for one deluxe room. We check-in at around 3pm; we skip lunch as we wanted to save for this evening seafood at Bagan Lalang. I drop Eliza & Arief at LG while I went to find parking. The concourse is at Ground Floor but it is not accesible by car; only for tour buses. The registration counter is impressive; and the waiting area is equipped with PC and free wifi. They served iced lemonade for welcoming drinks. It took them just about 10 minutes to confirm my room. The journey to our room is quite interesting as they have only one lift for every wing and our room is located at the other side and I think we passed by several doors. But we were very impressed with our rooms; two separate bathrooms with an executive table complete with LCD TV. BTW it took me about 30 minutes to figure out how to start the LCD TV as it uses a universal controller :-)
I went to buy Kari Kepala Ikan (with fried chicken and sotong) after my tennis session at the famous Bangsar Nasi Kandar; it is located behind TMC. I was introduced to this venue by my office colleagues; as the place is quite small and is not suitable to bring Arief hence the decision to take-away. Aiman is joining us for lunch as he is on his semester break and wanted to do some shopping in the evening for his BTN. We really enjoy eating the Kari Kepala Ikan; it did took us awhile to finish it but it was truly delicious. All of us dozed (except for Arief) after lunch and we only went to Subang Parade by 6pm. Arief was sleeping during the journey and woke-up once we arrived at Subang Parade. Aiman manage to buy his gears for BTN; and I bought one jean at FOS while Eliza grabbed a blouse at Reject Shop. Arief on the other hand bought Ultraman (again). Eliza did bought Cup Cake for Arief & Aiman; they finish eating it in a few minutes. We window shopped briefly and Eliza finally bought a white blouse for our family photo-shoot this Sunday. We had our dinner at McD as Arief wanted to play at the kids playground. BTW I met Halim & his family at Subang Parade. We arrived home by 10.30pm and Arief was already sleeping. Aiman drove to back to my sister house at Subang Permai. I was tired but stayed up to catch the FA Cup Semi-Final where Arsenal lost (again) to Chealsea :-)
We arrived at IKEA Cafe at around 9.45am and I immediately ordered two plates of kueh teow goreng, two pieces of chicken wings, muffin, daim cake and our usual cappuccinos. We sat nearby to the children play area and Arief was busy playing (or either pushing the IKEA stool all over the cafe). He did ate the kueh teow goreng. This time we didn't shopped at IKEA but we went to Brands Outlet; to buy belt for Arief as he wanted it this morning after seeing my wearing it. Brands Outlet didn't have any belts but we bought Arief another Ben 10 water tumbler and a t-shirt. We then went to Looney Tunes; and a new IT store just open and we ended up buying an HP printer-scanner-copier for RM180. We wanted to go home but Arief persuade us to window-shopped at the Curve. We finally found Arief belts at Mothercare; set of 3 for RM48. Arief immediately wore his new belt and then spend close to about half-an-hour playing at the mini playground located outside the Mothercare. It took us awhile to convince him to stop playing; we finally manage to convince him as he was very tired from running all over the slides. Arief fall asleep while we were shopping inside FOS. It was already 3.30pm and we are hungry; we decided to have our lunch somewhere in IKANO @ Uncle Lim's and our table is beside Eizlan Yusoff with his family. We had nasi lemak with chicken rendang, fries with ayam garing, karipap, wholemeal roti bakar, ice barley and soya cincau :-)
