We began our journey to the Great Ocean Road from Rowville at 6.45am. We got lost as I forgot to open the GPS antenna; but we manage to spot a stray kangaroo hoping around the neighbourhood and it was quite dangerous as it was too close to the road and pavement. We finally locate our entry to M1 but I miss the turn; but our GPS guided us back to M1. The traffic was quite smooth amidst the usual morning traffic. Our first stop will be Geelong but it was still raining when we arrive there, so I opted to drive on to Lorne. Di has prepared picnic food for us to enjoy in our trip and I'm hungry. Arief is already full after eating my tuna sandwich in the car. Driving via the Great Ocean Road is quite challenging but the view is amazing; we even manage to catch a few beautiful rainbows in the horizon. We arrived at Lorne by 10.30am, making a pit-stop at their Tourist Information Centre for bathroom breaks and buying a few souveniers. We then decided to have our picnic at Lorne as the weather was just nice. I bought Latte at the nearby bistro while Eliza prepared my sandwich. Arief was busy playing with ducks that was everywhere. After breakfast, we parked at Lorne Pier and decided to walk to the end of the pier. And as we walking rain started to fall and a huge wind came by; and blew off Arief Hilfiger Cap into the sea. It was quite scary and we decided to walk back to our rented car. I need to buy Arief a new cap then :-)
