The Couplehood Journey of a Distort Soul....

Lunch @ Alamanda...

We had our morning breakfast at the Executive lounge and I think we spend almost an hour there; it was so private and Arief enjoy watching the TV while having his cereal. We then went to Alamanda for lunch with Fadzli, Azura, baby Mikhail, Acik Nan & Acik Zakiah. We opted for the food court as we have fond memories there with Arief. Eliza had Ipoh Hor Fun while Arief ate nasi with chicken masak merah. I opted for sizzling chicken mushroom yee mee. We had a blast catching up with all of them and baby Mikhail is so cute with his chubby cheeks :-)

Dekda's Wedding...

We begin our journey to Dekda's wedding at 11.30am; a bit late than our earlier schedule time of 10.30am. We arrived at Acu Din's house by 12.30pm; using the normal shortcut which was so bumpy and dusty. I managed to park my car nearby the wedding tent; thus allowing me to keep our notebook in the car. We went straight to the lunch buffet which was prepared by the villagers and it was delicious; especially the chicken, acar buah and air assam. Arief and Ilyas enjoy the free lollipop while playing all over the neighbour compound. The groom arrived at 1pm and we managed to watch Dekda bersanding. We drove back to Shah Alam by 2.30pm amidst heavy rain along the journey and arrive safely at home by 5.30pm :-)

Little Caliphs, Putrajaya, Naza Motor, Nasim Peugeot and Chicken Chop...

It was raining earlier in the morning so I couldn't play tennis at Bangsar; I still went to Bangsar for breakfast though. To my surprise we still have players waiting for the rain to stop and I ended up staying there until 10am. We went to Little Caliphs at noon for the parents session. Arief decided to just sit outside with me playing with his PSP while Eliza went in and discuss with his teacher. The verdict; Arief is excellent in Maths and Hafazan but need to improve his reading skills and hygiene (tend to wipe with his clothes). His drawings is good too. We are really proud of Arief achievement in Little Caliphs :-)

We drove to Putrajaya Precint 11 for Fadzly & Azura lunch meet-up; we got lost along the way as I can't detect his house via my iPhone Google Maps. BTW Arief was sleeping during the short drive. I finally call Fadzly and request for the direction. We were not far off but as it was a new development the location is not updated in Google Maps. Arief was a bit cranky at first because he just woke up but after awhile he is back to his usual self; playing with his PSP while having lunch. My sister arrived half an hour later with Nasi Bukhara; more food to enjoy. It was a joyous gatherings and we even had a small celebration for Abg Long & Kak Yong on their 28th Wedding Anniversary :-)

We plan to check out Toyota Wish at Naza World but we make a pit-stop at Cyberjaya Community Club as Arief pooped. Arief was excited to check-out the new car and he was running all over the showroom. We managed to discuss with their sales representative on the many Wish available and really interested to buy the 2006 / 2007 model. On our way back we stopped at Nasim Peugeot and review the 308 Turbo. This car is extremely attractive as well and we are now undecided on our purchase :-)

We went to my sister house in Subang Permai for our dinner; home-made chicken chop @ western dinner. Arief was sleeping as he didn't sleep the whole day; pity as Ilyas and Irfan wanted to play with him during dinner. It was a very full  and delicious dinner with spaghetti, potatoes, garlic bread and chicken chop :-)

Fadzli's Wedding in Pokok Assam Part 2...

Our breakfast is provided at my grandmother's house; nasi lemak with sambal sotong. I went with Arief first and we shared a plate of nasi lemak. Back home, Arief and Ilyas was playing all-out at the living room while I slept; needed to rest due to my slight migraine. The wedding starts at around noon and I ate first; my task is to welcome the bride's family at around 2pm. My in-laws is already there; Eliza & Arief join them for lunch. Weather was a bit gloomy; it did drizzle a bit around 1pm. I really enjoy eating "daging rendang". They also served "cendol" and "teh tarik". Eliza, Arief and my in-laws waited inside the house for the "bersanding". By 1.30pm the bride's family arrived at my house before proceeding to the Fadzli's house. I went with Abg Adi to welcome them with "bunga manggar" and "kompang". Acik Nan also arrange for "silat" to welcome the "pengantin". By the time Fadzli & Azura started their "bersanding" ceremony, Eliza & Arief went back home as Arief was tired from playing the whole morning. The ceremony finish at around 3pm and I went back to rest (Eliza & Arief was sleeping). I couldn't sleep as I had slept earlier and I went out with Haza & Wandi to do the alignment and balancing. We also went to the "Weng Sport Store" where Haza bought his new badminton shoes and table-tennis bat :-)

We went to Sri Kota late in the evening and as usual Arief plays all out with his cousins. Eliza was not feeling well due to her tonsilitis and I went alone to "buka hadiah" session. I thought it would start early but there were still guest at the house. I had my dinner there; "lauk kenduri". The "buka hadiah" started at around 10am and Kak Eeta was the emcee (official emcee for Fadzli's wedding) and we laugh our socks off as it was hillarious. All of the relatives need to give speeched and I gave one on-behalf of my family. I really like the speech given by Fairuz and he addresses Fadzli & Azura as "tok". Acik Nan gave the final speech, thanking us for the job well done and it was really touching. The highlight is the karoeke session but I was too tired; went back to Sri Kota for a good night sleep :-)

Fadzli's Wedding in Pokok Assam Part 1...

We went back to Taiping on Friday morning; plan to start early but we ended up watching "Prince Caspian" on DVD and we began our journey at 10am. We had our breakfast at Miza Kopitiam at Seksyen 7 Shah Alam before starting our journey. We reached Pokok Assam by 1.30pm. Arief was sleeping during the journey and it took us awhile to convince him to go to my grandmother house for lunch. It was a simple buffet spread with prawn curry and "ikan masin" with "ulam kampung"; not forgetting the sambal belacan. Eliza finished the "pekasam" while Arief enjoy eating the prawns. My sister arrived at around 2.30pm and Arief & Ilyas continue playing at my grandmother's house. I wanted to do our car allignment and balancing but it was raining heavilly in Taiping; we went to my in-laws house instead and Arief spend time playing with his cousins. We went back to Pokok Assam at around 8.30pm for the "Doa Selamat". I went with Arief first and he played continuously with Ilyas nearby the "pelamin"; strutting their ultraman pose and hitting me and Aiman in the process. "Doa Selamat" began as schedule and Acik Nan prepared "sup daging" with "ulam kampung" and "sambal belacan". It was simple but extremely delicious. I didn't particularly like the fat residues after eating "sup daging"; it took me awhile to clean my hand. Eliza and Arief went back home early as Arief is tired and wanted to sleep. I went back for the "Naik Pelamin" session; just-in-time for my "merenjis" :-)

Fadzli's Wedding in Bidong Part 1...

We went back to Taiping with Aiman for Fadzli & Azura wedding at Bidong Kedah. We began our journey at around 11am; after breakfast at Guthrie Expressway (expensive and Arief spill his iced milo). We arrived in Pokok Assam by 1.30pm; Arief as usual slept all the way. I was still recovering from my tonsilitis and I lost my voice. My mom prepared lunch for us; very delicious as always and I slept after that. We went to Sri Kota in the evening to visit my in-laws. Later that night, it was the "berinai" session for Fadzli and almost all nephews and nieces "inai" their fingers; including Aiman. I told Aiman it was not compulsory and he immediately clean his fingers :-)
