This morning we woke up according to Indonesian time; a bit tired as we were busy packing our stuff last nite. We went down for breakfast and as with yesterday; Arief plays around in the courtyard and I enjoyed the "bubur nasi". We already told Pak Herman to pick us up at 9.30am; just in time to do some last minute shopping before our flight at 1pm Indonesian time. The check-out was extremely fast; I would highly recommend this hotel. Pak Herman arrived on-time as usual; and I requested to visit the currency exchange center. It was just nearby and it operated like a normal bank; the staffs (about 40 of them) dressed in the same uniform. I had to queue in the request line and fill-up an application form; stating the number of Ringgit I would like to exchange as well as providing my passport for identification. Then they provide with a number and I wait for my turn to collect. It was efficient and the exhange rate is much more higher :-)
We went to Mode In (I don't remember where it is located); a textile shop. It seems most of the textile shops in Bandung opened a small outlet in Pasar Baru and over here they accept credit cards. We bought garments for Eliza baju kurung & batik for myself, gold motive @ RM66. As Arief didn't eat that much during breakfast, we drop by at KFC which was located nearby and bought fries and ice milo for Arief. I also bought "pegedel" at KFC; and it was suprisingly quite delicious :-)
From Mode In, Pak Herman brought us to buy brownies at Andaman. Pak Herman advised us to buy straight from the factory as some that was sold along the streets could have passed the expiry date. We bought the original, chocolate and bakar. I wanted to buy banana chocolate but it was not ready yet. As the time was still early, Eliza suggested that we went to buy more tudung. As we were about to reach the outlet, Pak Herman asked whether we would like to buy original jeans e.g. Levis. He hit the right spot and we immediately asked Pak Herman to drive us there instead (Toko Tiga). It is a shop selling mostly jeans from various brand. Levis is located at the back of the shop and it was on sale. We bought 2 jeans for Eliza; Levis & Lee Cooper while I bought Black 512 Levis. Total cost is RP659,900 @ RM230 :-)
Pak Herman send us to the airport by 11.30am; we duly exchanges gratitudes and promises Pak Herman that we would use his service again in the future (we plan to make this an annual trip) and also recommend his service to our families & friends. We pay Pak Herman RP950,000 @ RM330 for his transport services (RP300,000 on Saturday, RM500,000 on Sunday and RM150,000 on Monday). The queue at the airport was minimal; we managed to be infront of a group of Malaysian tourist that was causing quite a commotion as it seems that one of them lost RP1juta that was put inside their passport. The process was smooth but our excess baggage was 7kg (due to the jeans I guess); we ended up paying RP315,000 @ RM113 (RP45,000 per kg). Airport tax was RP60,000 per person. BTW they were renovating the departure hall and it was quite hot (no aircond). Arief can't wait to get into the plane and he was running all over the departure hall. We managed to sit in the same seating; 3 rows from the back. Arief was awake throughout the journey and making his usual noises. Once we landed in LCCT; makcik infront of us said "Ni ke baby yang tak tidur dalam flight tu" :-)
We waited for about 20 minutes to receive our bags and when we about to pass the immigration counter; the officer just waived us through (guess he saw us with three bags and one diaper bag while Eliza was holding Arief, family vacation). Abang Ngah was already waiting for us at LCCT and we went to his house to pick-up our car. We refreshed ourselves while having evening tea at Abang Ngah and ate the brownies bakar. We finally reached home by 7pm and we spotted Fadzli Kembara along the highway. It was tiring but it was worth every RM spent. BTW it was my birthday today :-)
