I just started to Wifi here as it is just along the route home from office. You can park your car in Carrefour (which is free). The place is rather small but they have ample space within the surroundings. The people here (the staff and Wifi user) is friendly and helpful. I've met Ian, the outlet manager last week as I was having problem accessing the Wifi connection (he just reset the Starbucks Modem). Highly recommend this Wifi place and I was informed that they have a number of frequent Wifi users here :-)

Sate Kajang in USJ Taipan...
Sate here is good but WiFi reception is so bad. Notice that it takes a while for me to even download the TMNet wesbite. No power points (acceptable) but it was so hot and the fan was so slow. Plus the sugar cane is watered down. Geezzzzz....
A&W Alamanda...
I was just testing the WiFi reception in ALAMANDA Food Court and to my suprise I've detected a signal from the Bowling Centre (but it is not free as you need to obtain the username and password from the counter). I then proceed to A&W to access my email. As I had eaten and was quite full, I just sat outside A&W (public sitting area) and WiFi. The reception is excellent. Pity A&W don't provide power points.
Kafe Darussalam SS15...
I was waiting for my staff to arrive in Subang (via Commuter) as I have an important presentation in Putrajaya to Jabatan Pendidikan Tinggi. We scheduled to meet up by 7.45am but she got delayed and had to use the LRT. I was damn worried as my presentation is at 9am. I told her to meet me at SS15 and I just drove to this Kafe (as I know it has wifi). They don't have the usual Streamyx sign but the connection here is excellent. And it is free as I don't have to log in.
Back to my presentation, I made a decision to proceed to the presentation and told my staff to get a cab as we are running late and my partner is already there in Putrajaya with just a big smile and nice suit. And then my staff call saying that no cab would take her to Putrajaya. I then called up my other partner (luckilly was in subang) and ask him to fetch her at the LRT Station and proceed to Putrajaya. I arrive there just in the nick of time and we begin the presentation as scheduled. My staff arrive there 45 minutes late but just nice as we were about to start our Demo (she's doing the DEMO). At the end, we were able to meet our presentation objectives. And finally we realized that my staff should have taken the ERL instead :-)
Starbucks Giant Kelana Jaya...
I wifi at Starbucks Giant Kelana Jaya on Thursday April 7th after I went to Immigration Subang to renew my passport (expired March 2005). The place is nice (same as all Starbucks) with few nice sofas. Initially I was supposed to meet up with my old friend for coffee and I mentioned to the baristas that I will order my drinks later once my friend arrived. At the end, he cancel the meeting and I didn't ordered anything as I was rushing out to another meeting in USJ. Do feel a bit guilty but I have contributed a lot to Starbucks throughout the years, so never mind lah :-)
Projet Shah Alam...
Basically I still consider PROJET is not my preferred place to wifi as it does not provide plug points but as I have a new Notebook @ with batteries the facilities is moderate. The speed is quite fast because there is not so many people using the wifi facilities there (maybe because of the lack of plug points). Even with my batteries it will only last for about 4 hours of which I still do need a plug point. The place is nice, well lighted, lots of food and drinks to choose from but the table is not properly cleaned (evidence of food stains everywhere, sticky food stains). Parking is ample but usually full. Table is ample as well but also always full (and dirty). Really not my first choice but it is nearer to my house as compared to Petronas Seksyen 7 (both on Streamyx HotSpots).
Starbucks One Utama New Wing...
I went to One Utama last wednesday at around 6pm. I have not been there for quite some time as I was so busy lately. One Utama is my favourite shopping destination as there have everything here (everything that I like is here). After finishing my usual round of window shopping, I went to Starbucks to have cappucinno while wifi-ing. To my suprise I've detected close to 8 wireless networks. Initially I choose Streamyx but it was down while I was surfing. Then I select OneUtama Wireless Network and it was excellent. One Utama Shopping Centre provide free wifi to its' patrons, not at all places but selected venues. If you see the sign '"Free Wifi Spot", just open up your Centrino Notebook and you can surf for free. I am so impressed with the facilities. One Utama deserved my appreciation :-)
Starbucks Maju Junction...
Since I have my new ACER Notebook, I can wifi almost anywhere (as compared to my previous notebook @ battery problems). This is my first time using wifi facilities in Starbucks. I did used it once in Kelana Jaya but I couldn't connect to the designated network (due to my settings I think as I was using external wifi usb). The experience was excellent. Wifi while sipping the house blend coffee and sitting down on a nice comfortable sofa. I am now upgraded to wifi without wires @ with batteries :-)
CLICKERS Kelana Jaya
WIFI is a great technology for people on the go @ mobility always. I like to WIFI at CLICKERS Kelana Jaya (been doing this since April 2004). They have a nice atmosphere, cool ambience, friendly staff, free coffee and free parking (GIANT nearby). Just that the aircond is extremely cold sometimes. There is a group of frequent WIFI users here and all of them are friendly. I don't know most of them yet but I do have nickname for them. Guess they have nickname for me too :-).
